დაავადებათა კონტროლისა და საზოგადოებრივი ჯანმრთელობის ეროვნული ცენტრის ხელმძღვანელის, ამირან გამყრელიძის ინფორმაციით, საქართველოში C ჰეპატიტის ელიმინაციის პროგრამაში ჩართულია ან მკურნალობა ჩაიტარა 45 ათასმა ადამიანმა, საიდანაც განკურნების მაჩვენებელი 98%-ს შეადგენს.

როგორც ამირან გამყრელიძემ განაცხადა, სულ სკრინინგი ჩაიტარა 1 400 000 ათასმა მოსახლემ, მათგან ზოგიერთმა ორჯერ. რაც შეეხება უნიკალურ პაციენტებს, ანუ ადამიანებს, რომლებსაც ერთხელ მაინც აქვთ ჩატარებული სკრინინგი, მათი რიცხვი 900 ათასს შეადგეს.
