ფარმაკოლოგიური თვისებები
ფტორაფური ახდენს სიმსივნის საწინააღმდეგო მოქმედებას და ბიოლოგიური თვისებებით მრავალმხრივ ემსგავსება 5-ფტორურაცილს. ფტორაფური შეიძლება განვიხილოთ, როგორც 5-ფტორურაცილის სატრანსპორტო ფორმა, რომელიც ორგანიზმში წარმოიქმნება ღვიძლის მიკროსომული ფერმენტებით ფტორაფურის აქტივაციის შედეგად. მეტაბოლიტი დიდ ხანს ცირკულირებს ორგანიზმში და ამგვარად უზრუნველყოფს პრეპარატის მაღალ ეფექტურობას. 
კლინიკური კვლევები სხვადახვა ქვეყანაში მოწმობს ფტორაფურისა და 5-ფტორურაცილის ანალოგიურ თერაპიულ ეფექტზე. 5-ფტორურაცილთან შედარებით ფტორაფურს ნაკლები ტოქსიკურობის გამო გააჩნია რიგი უპირატესობები: ნაკლები იმუნოდეპრესიული და კუჭ-ნაწლავის ტრაქტის ლორწოვანი გარსის ნაკლებ გამაღიზიანებელი მოქმედება, ძვლის ტვინის ფუნქციების ნაკლები დათრგუნვა. 
კუჭ-ნაწლავის ტრაქტის რეციდიულ სიმსივნეებს (პირველად სიმსივნეებთან შედარებით) გააჩნიათ უფრო მეტი მგრძნობელობა ფტორაფურის მიმართ. კუჭის კიბოს დროს ფტორაფური ნაკლები ხარისხით კურნავს მეტასტაზებს ფილტვებში, ძვლებში და საკვერცხეებში, მეტი ხარისხით – მეტასტაზებს ღვიძლში; რემისიის ხანგრძლივობა უმეტესი პაციენტებისათვის შეადგენს 1,5 – 2 თვეს. 
ფტორაფურის ეფექტურობა სწორი და მსხვილი ნაწლავის პირველადი, რეცესიული და მეტასტაზური სიმსივნის მკურნალობისას ანალოგიურია ასეთის კუჭისა და ნაწლავის კიბოს მკურნალობისას. რემისიის ხანგრძლივობა სწორი და მსხვილი ნაწლავის კიბოს შემთხვევაში შეადგენს 5-8 თვეს. 
მკერდის პირველადი სიმსივნეები და მათი მეტასტაზები რბილ ქსოვილებში ასევე მგრძნობიარეა ფტორაფურით თერაპიის მიმართ. თუმცა, კიბოს მეტასტაზები ფილტვებში, პლევრაში, ღვიძლში, ტვინში და ძვლებში უარესად იკურნება ფტორაფურით. რემისიის საშუალო ხანგრძლივობა შეადგენს 10-19 თვეს. 
ფტორაფური ეფექტურია ღვიძლის პირველადი სიმსივნის მკურნალობისას და მისი დაზიანებისას მეტასტაზების შემთხვევაში, ასევე საკვერცხეების კიბოს დროს ფოლიკულმასტიმულირებელი ჰორმონის შემცირებული სეკრეციით. 
ფტორაფური წარმატებით გამოიყენება ნეიროექტოდერმული წარმოშობის ტვინის პირველადი სიმსივნის მკურნალობისას; თავის ტვინში მეტასტაზების სხვა ლოკალიზაციებისას პრეპარატი არაეფექტურია. პრეპარატი ეფექტურია კანის ლიმფომის შემთხვევაში, ნაღველ- და შარდგამომყოფი სადინრების, კუჭქვეშა ჯირკვლის კიბოს დროს. 
ინტრავენური და პერორალური მიღებისას ფტორაფურის თერაპიული მოქმედების არსებითი სხვაობა არ შეინიშნება. თუმცა, ნაკლები გვერდითი მოქმედების და ამბულატორულ პირობებში მკურნალობის შესაძლებლობის გამო უპირატესობა ენიჭება პრეპარატის პერორალურ გამოყენებას.

მსხვილი და სწორი ნაწლავის, კუჭის, სარძევე ჯირკვლის კიბო; დიფუზური ნეიროდერმიტი, კანის ლიმფომები.

მიღების წესები და დოზები
კაფსულები მიიღება შიგნით, ჭამამდე 1 საათით ადრე ან მის შემდეგ. 
პერორალური გამოყენებისას ფტორაფურის სადღეღამისო დოზა შეადგენს სხეულის მასის 20-30 მგ/კგ (1,2-1,6 გ ან 3-4 კაფსულა), მაგრამ შეიძლება გაიზარდოს 2 გ-მდე (5 კაფსულა); დოზას ყოფენ 2 მიღებაზე და მიიღებენ ყოველდღიურად ყოველ 12 სთ ან 2-4-ჯერ დღეღამეში. მკურნალობის 1 კურსის დროს მიღებული პრეპარატის დოზა შეადგენს 30-40 გ-მს. თუმცა, ექიმს შეუძლია გადაწყვიტოს ფტორაფურის შედარებით ნაკლები დოზის მიღება ხანგრძლივი დროის განმავლობაში. Fფტორაფურის დოზას ამცირებენ ხანდაზმულ პაციენტებში, აგრეთვე დაავადების ბოლო სტადიაში. ფტორაფური კომბინირებული ქიმიოთერაპიის სქემებში და სხივური თერაპიის დამატებისას გამოიყენება ნაკლები დოზით ან მონოთერაპიის დროს გამოყენებული დოზის იდენტურად. საჭიროებისას მკურნალობის კურსს იმეორებენ 1,5-2 თვის ინტერვალით.
თუ დაგავიწყდათ მორიგი დოზის მიღება, დაუყოვნებლივ მიიღეთ წამალი, როგორც კი გაგახსენდებათ ამის შესახებ. თუ უკვე ახლოვდება წამლის შემდეგი დოზის მიღების დრო, გამოტოვებული დოზა არ მიიღოთ. გააგრძელეთ წამლის მიღება ექიმის რეკომენდაციის შესაბამისად და არ გააორმაგოთ დოზა.

გვერდითი მოვლენები
შეიძლება გაჩნდეს გულისრევა, ღებინება, მუცლის ტკივილი, თავბრუსხვევა, ფაღარათი; იშვიათად – კუჭ-ნაწლავური სისხლდენები, კუჭის და თორმეტგოჯა ნაწლავის წყლული, სტომატიტი, ღვიძლისა და თირკმლის ფუნქციის დარღვევები, ზოგჯერ მწვავე პანკრეატიტი, სისხლმბადი ფუნქციის დათრგუნვა, გულის მოქმედების დარღვევები, ალერგიული რეაქციები (გამონაყარი, ქავილი, შეწითლება). 
მძიმე გვერდითი ეფექტები შეინიშნება იშვიათად. შესაძლებელია სისხლმბადი ფუნქციის მძიმე დარღვევები (ლეიკოპენია, თრომბოციტოპენია, ანემია), ღვიძლის დაზიანებები (მწვავე ჰეპატიტი), ორგანიზმის გაუწყლოება, ნაწლავის მძიმე ანთება, ლეიკოენცეფალიტის სიმპტომები, ინტერსტიციული პნევმონია, ყნოსვის დაკარგვა, მოსვენების სტენოკარდია. 
მხედველობაში უნდა იქნეს მიღებული, რომ მედიკამენტი თრგუნავს პაციენტის რეპროდუქტიულ ფუნქციას. 
ამ გვერდითი ეფექტების ან სხვა ზემოთ აღუნიშნავი სიმპტომების გაჩენისას კონსულტირება გაიარეთ ექიმთან წამლის შემდგომ გამოყენებაზე.

უკუჩვენება
ფტორაფური არ გამოიყენება მის მიმართ მომატებული მგრძნობელობის არსებობის შემთხვევაში. 
პრეპარატი არ გამოიყენება ავადმყოფობის გვიან სტადიაში, მწვავე სისხლდენისას, ღვიძლის და/ან თირკმლების ფუნქციის მძიმე დარღვევისას, ლეიკოპენიისას (3X109/ლ-ზე ნაკლები), თრომბოციტოპენიისას (100X109/ლ-ზე ნაკლები) და ანემიისას (ჰემოგლობინის დონე 30 ერთ.-ზე ნაკლები). 
ფტორაფურის გამოყენება ასევე არ შეიძლება ორსულობის და ძუძუთი კვების პერიოდში. თუ დედისთვის აუცილებელია ფტორაფურით მკურნალობა, ბავშვის ძუძუთი კვება უნდა შეწყდეს. 
არ გამოიყენება ბავშვებში და მოზარდებში.

განსაკუთრებული მითითებები
პრეპარატის გამოყენებისას რეგულარულად უნდა აკონტროლოთ სისხლის სურათი, ღვიძლისა და თირკმლების ფუნქციური მდგომარეობა. 
მძიმე გვერდითი ეფექტების განვითარებისას საჭიროა შეწყვიტოთ პრეპარატის გამოყენება. 
სიფრთხილის ზომები
ფტორაფურის გამოყენებისას განსაკუთრებული სიფრთხილე უნდა დაიცვან პაციენტებმა სისხლმბადი, ღვიძლისა და თირკმლების ფუნქციების დარღვევებით. 
აცნობეთ ექიმს, თუ თქვენ გაქვთ გლუკოზის მეტაბოლიზმის დარღვევები, კუჭისა და თორმეტგოჯა ნაწლავის წყლული, სისხლდენის მიმართ მიდრეკილება, ინფექციური დაავადება. პრეპარატის ხანგრძლივი გამოყენებისას მისი გვერდითი მოქმედება ძლიერდება. 
სატრანსპორტო საშუალებების მართვისა და მექანიზმების მომსახურების უნარზე ზემოქმედება
თუ ფტორაფურის გამოყენებისას გეწყებათ თავბრუხვევა, ძილიანობა ან გულის მოქმედების შესამჩნევი დარღვევები, თავი უნდა შეიკავოთ სატრანსპორტო საშუალების მართვისაგან და მექანიზმებთან მუშაობისაგან.

ჭარბი დოზირება
სიმპტომები: ტოქსიკური მოვლენების გაძლიერება კუჭნაწლავის ტრაქტის, ცენტრალური ნერვული სისტემის მხრიდან და ჰემოპოეზის დათრგუნვა. 
მკურნალობა: სისხლმბადი ფუნქციის კონტროლი არა ნაკლებ 4 კვირის განმავლობაში, საჭიროების შემთხვევაში ტარდება სიმპტომატური თერაპია. 
სპეციფიური ანტიდოტი ტეგაფურის მიმართ არ არის ცნობილი.
ჭარბი დოზირების შემთხვევაში დაუყოვნებლიც მიმართეთ ექიმს!

სხვა წამლებთან ურთიერთქმედება
ფტორაფურისა და ფენიტოინის ერთდროული გამოყენებისას შეიძლება გაძლიერდეს უკანასკნელის მოქმედება. 
პრეპარატი ზრდის სხვა ქიმიოთერაპიული საშუალებების და სხივური თერაპიის ეფექტურობას (ძლიერდება ასევე გვერდითი მოქმედებაც). 
ღვიძლში მიკროსომული დაჟანგვის ინჰიბიტორები აძლიერებენ ტოქსიკურობას. 
თუ თქვენ ღებულობთ ან ახლახანს ღებულობდით რაიმე სხვა სამკურნალწამლო საშუალებებს, მათ შორის რეცეპტის გარეშე შეძენილ წამლებს, პრეპარატის გამოყენების დაწყებამდე შეატყობინეთ ამის შესახებ ექიმს.
